I'm a Happy Little Farm Wife!

Wal-Mart hates me! I went in search of sandals for #1 Son. There must've been a run on boy's size 7 1/2 sandals. There wasn't one pair in the store...And the dog ate his other ones! They were also out of Scotch Guard for my carpet cleaner...So I can't finish my mini-frenzy. And their gift registry? Useless! I couldn't find a single item Husband's cousin was registered for...So I opted for a muffin pan and cookie sheet in a different brand. And there were 8,000 people at Wal-Mart! Yikes!

I did find an adorable pair of shoes for Baby Girl, complete with pink lining! She can't wait until
Sunday. After wale-Mart we headed across to the shoe store to check out their selection of boys sandals...Again, nada! But I found a fabulous pair of pink heels that will match my Easter outfit to perfection! And how much were they...wait for it...$7.00! Aunt A and Grandma M&M would be so proud! Now I can't wait until Sunday!

And what did I find upon my return home? A GOOSE IN MY YARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Husband's cousin (yet another cousin) had her, but she lived in a small pen. They thought she'd do better with a pond, so they brought her to live on the funny farm...And now, we got their goose!! (sorry, I couldn't help myself) Her name is Chloe...When she settles in I'll try to get a picture for you. I believe she's an African Goose.

And what else did I find upon my return home? A giant box of goodies from Art the Omnipotent! Here's her "list of everything": 1. Smoked Salmon (from Art's cousin. She swears it's good.)
2. Soup mix from Did 3. Candle (door prize somewhere) 4. Towel (no clue) 5. Alarm clock (Christmas present for customers) 6. Carpet cleaner 7. Honeymoon planner 8. Business cards
9. Various books 10. soundtracks from Elizabethtown & James Blunt CD 11. Instructions for making a crane 12. Pictures of her wedding dress 13. Small container of candy (from her cousin's private drawer)

There's also a dress, coat, and hat for Baby Girl to wear Sunday and an outfit for #1 Son passed down from her baby. I'm too thrilled for words! I cannot wait to pop in the James Blunt CD, light the candle, and snack on some salmon while reading The Notebook. Art, you so totally rock! You made my day! What do you say we leave Husband at home with our kids and you and I will run off to one of the Honeymoon destinations in the book?

Now I must go eat some fabulous pizza Little BIL made. That boy can cook! Maybe I'll send Husband to AIT to learn to cook...
