Knitting Fever

Are these not the most fabulous socks and shoes you've ever seen? Needlefingers made me the socks when Baby Girl was born. She also made a tiny pair for Baby Girl. I picked up the shoes at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago. They're my run to the mail box, take out the trash, take the dog out, grab some firewood, check on the piglets shoes (they're not so good for collecting eggs. The holes aren't made for the mud). Occasionally they're my pick Baby Girl up from school shoes and once they were my make a deposit on a Great Dane shoes. They were a big hit on that trip. Mostly because I wore them with the fabulous socks! The man we're getting the dog from was thrilled with the whole ensemble!

I've just checked out Ragged's Finished Projects page. I'm enthralled! I want to learn to knit! I'm just afraid I'll become as obsessed with knitting as Needlefingers and Ragged are. Then Husband may have to take a second job just to keep me in yarn!

Aurora had a pretty good night. I took her out once, and Husband took her out once. She woke up about 5:45, but the kids were up shortly after so that wasn't a big deal. Husband doesn't want her on the carpet until the wormer has worked it's way through her system. She seems scared to walk on carpet anyway. So far we're about 14 hours accident free (since we brought her home). But we won't stay that way unless I take her out soon!

* OK, I waited too long! But she stopped as soon as I told her to and she went out to finish! This is a smart dog.

Those are the most fabulous socks ever and how awesome to have something so bright and cheerful as those to brighten your winter months.

I just read your comment on my blog. Needlefingers is truly an awesome teacher. I learned a bit in one night and have had tutorials periodically since then. I also joined a knitting group and that's helped a lot. However, if Needlefingers were within reach, I'd be pestering her for help non-stop, so take advantage of the proximity.

I think that not everyone becomes as obsessed as most. Learning to knit just came at a good time for me: I was looking for a creative outlet, had some extra time on my hands and was game to try something new. My yarn obsession, however, has to be tamed.

Pick up the sticks. Pick up the sticks.

I love the socks and shoes combination! Those shoes would be great in the garden...just hose 'em off. I've got to find some before spring. Walmart here I come!

Those socks are sooo fab...I was thinking I might just have to send you a pair of those boots so you can get the eggs...since you don't wear those pink cuties...

Granny would be proud of your desire to enter into the world of knitting. We should get lessons together. I love your fashion sense - maybe I'll adopt it as the official wedding attire. Finally, my blog is updated. So, go ahead and have a blast. You've got 96 days. =)

The name of your post should be Socks and Crocks. Just a suggestion
;) Loved the pic of the youngens you sent Needles.

You know, they make clear rubber lace-up boots specifically for showing off your socks. ;)

Now not only do we all have to make socks, we need some of those fancy shoes and a pair of clear boots. Let's get to shopping!

You should totally pick up knitting! It is easy to become obsessed, but it's also easy to set aside for a while. So it all evens out in the end.
