Aimless Rambling

Well, Windows worked, but I think I prefer this format. Maybe I'll try it again later.
The video game spat is officially over. It didn't last long and knowing Husband it won't happen again anytime soon. As for me still being mad the next day, that will happen again. And often. I'm bad about that.
Baby Girl informed me that today is B.B.'s birthday (it isn't) and he's now 5 (he isn't). I said if that was the case it's off to kindergarten for him... And if he's 5, how old is she? 66! I said in that case she needs to get a job and start saving for retirement. I asked if she had any grandkids and she said, "No, I don't have a husband yet." I told her she'd better get cracking, times running out. When asked what kind of husband she wants she said, "A nice one. One that loves me." A job? Yes, he should fix cars. No beard and blond hair.
She said she lives at 830 Fifth Street (not our address) and works at the grocery store. They're going to have 10 kids. Oh, and her name: Alice in Wonderland Cinderella. His is Prince Charming. And if they get fired from their jobs they'll start looking for new ones.
Pretty detailed for a preschooler. I'm glad to say that Alice in Wonderland Cinderella went back to her own house and Baby Girl is now home.
I went to my in-law's house to borrow some movies today. Mother-in-Law (M.I.L.) was stressed about work. She has a nemesis who works the day shift (M.I.L. works evenings) and things are reaching critical levels. One issue is a box of crackers the nemesis leaves in the shared desk drawer that is drawing rodents. As stated, I'm terrified of mice so this is not something I could work around. I suggested a little De-Con in the cracker bag. I figured that would take care of the rodents and the co-worker at the same time (just think Lilly Tomlin in 9 to 5). M.I.L. Got a puzzled look on her face, as if trying to decide if I was seriously telling her to poison a co-worker. She finally laughed. I was relieved. Do my in-laws believe me capable of homicide?
I plan on watching Jersey Girl this week. My brother is obsessed with it. Bubba (yes, we really call him that) thinks George Carlin should have won an Oscar for his work in it, and the movie its self should've won Best Picture. I can only assume I've missed something. I liked it. Not Kevin Smith's best work in my mind, maybe his least vulgar (and that's saying something), but not my favorite. I've heard it labeled a sell out. I'll reserve judgment on that issue.
My brother is obsessed with Kevin Smith, period. I recently made him a list of must see movies not made by Kevin Smith or Quentin Terrintino. I haven't heard back from him about it. Maybe he's choosing to ignore his ever meddling sister.
Bubba is an aspiring film maker. Some day we'll be on his E! True Hollywood Story saying we never thought he'd make it. I should be more supportive. He might be paying for my retirement home!
#1 Son and Baby Girl are fighting. She says, "You want to fight?" He screams Yes, I scream No! She says, "Punch me. Hard." He does and she cries to me, "He punched me!" Why do they find this so entertaining? It's like a Roman coliseum in here complete with gladiators and Christians being thrown to the lions! Where's Russell Crow when you need him?
#1 Son is in the process of potty training. He's doing pretty well. I'm excited that I'll no longer have 2 in diapers... At least not until the next one comes along. No, that is not an announcement, just a plan. Now if I could just wean B.B. we'd be in the cat bird seat!
Husband moved some of our chickens yesterday. It was in the low 60's so I took the little people out to run off some steam and watch their dad wrangle poultry.
B.B. loves the chickens! He gets very excited. He can't say cock-a-doodle-doo, so he just grunts it at them. Yesterday he tried to catch Papa Doc (one of our White Rock roosters). Papa Doc wasn't happy about it. I'm just glad the chicken is faster than the baby. Papa Doc pecked B.B. on the temple this fall. You'd think he'd be more wary of the chickens after that. Nope, if anything he's more determined to catch them.
