And that's what friendships are made of.

Little girls, we are told, are made of sugar and spice and everything nice.  On the opposite end, snips and snails and puppy dog tails give us little boys.  I'm beginning to realize that friendships are similarly assembled.

My most precious friendship is made up of a long list of odds and ends.

  • Unitards
  • Boot Socks
  • Pop Ice
  • Clawfoot bathtubs
  • Eddie Vedder
  • 3 Week Old Pot Roast
  • Stolen Waffle House Flatware
  • Transmission Fluid
  • 1982 Toyota Corrolas
  • Moonwalks
  • Backseats full of dirty laundry
  • Bath robe ties holding car doors shut
  • Leaky hot water heaters
  • Hours sitting at Waffle House
  • 3 AM trips to Kroger
  • Books that could fill a small library
  • Movie quotes
  • Randomly bursting into song
  • Long Car Rides
  • Refrigerator gods
  • Mod Podge table tops
  • Hair dye
  • Flat Irons
  • False Eyelashes
  • CD players on repeat
  • Boys with great hair
  • Self Cleaning Ovens
  • Taco Bell Drive-thru
  • Make-up portraits on the bathroom mirror
  • Filling every washer at the laundromat
  • Trading an old couch for 2 cups of coffee
  • Collaged front doors
  • Broken back windows
There are many more things, but these are what come to mind.
