Woman in min-van in the lane next to us: So, how's your dad doing?
Teller at window: Um. Well. He's in the hospital. He has to have open heart surgery.
W in V: Oh. Wow. I didn't know that.
T at W: Yeah. They're not really sure what all is going to have to be done, but he has to have it soon.
W in V: OK. But other than that, he's OK, right?
Husband: (quietly to me) Yeah, other than the open heart surgery, he's Great!

Wow...that must have been awkward for both parties eh? Sort of like when a friend of mine lost her 3 year old son, and someone asked AT THE MEMORIAL SERVICE if they were thinking of having another one...uh...hello stupid?
