Bitsy had her 12 month WIC appointment. I was thinking the other day that she'll be the only one of the kids under 20 pounds at their first birthday. I was right. She was 18 lbs. 11 oz & 28 1/4 inches tall. She is a tiny thing. Really, she's not that much smaller than her sister at this age, but it's been so long since I had a tiny girl that she seems so petite. She's between the 10th & 25th percentiles in most everything. The others were usually dead on the 50th percentile.
She's walking so well that she even toddles around the yard if we go out with the big kids. When we were at QM's she & HT would make laps through the house together. They'd start off in the living room, go into the kitchen, make a lap around the kitchen, then head back to the living room. It was wonderful until they started getting into things & the gate had to be shut.
She spends most of her day chasing her siblings, climbing on things, digging in her toys, and trying to wrestle Lilly May into submission. She has zero interest in TV (unlike her siblings who each had one show they loved at this age. BabyGirl's was Blue's Clues, #1 Son liked Veggie Tales, and B.B. LOVED Praise Baby).
Her favorite thing is for one of the big kids to pull off couch cushions so she can climb up on the couch & sit. She thinks she's big stuff if she gets to sit on a chair by herself. It's so funny.
She's just starting to clap & will wave bye-bye (but mostly when you're out of sight). I'm still working on holding up a finger when asked how old she is, but mostly she laughs at me. Today she's yelling into an empty plastic cup to hear the echo. I took her swimming in the wading pool Monday. Now she gets excited every time we walk past it.
I can't believe she'll be one next week! Now if only I could decided what to get for her birthday....B.B. wants to get her a baby doll. The rest of us are at a loss.

Can it really be a year since Bitsy's arrival??!?!?! Holy cow...
I think she would love a baby doll. Just not the one that pees...those were scary...
It's hard to imagine the little one will be a year old. It flew by! Happy b-day sweet little girl.
