Mammy now has new shoes...well, new back break pads anyway. Happy Mother's Day to me.
Bitsy & I did get rained on, but only a little. I took a big fleece blanket & draped it over her stroller, so she happily played in relative comfort while I huddled under the Umbrella of Death during the brief showers. We were safely ensconced in our favorite coffee shop with a pecan sticky bun & a cup of Jamaica Mistake Decaf when the big rain hit.
We visited the clothing store (Mr. Jack asked how you're doing, Daddy & QM. He also asked about BabyGirl & fears he may retire before she's old enough to come work for him.), the furniture store, & the pet store. Bitsy wanted a parakeet, but I told her she's not quite ready for one...besides there's enough noise around here as it stands.
I'm dreaming of a sun room with the darling yellow furniture I saw in the window of the furniture store and two parakeets in a hanging cage when my children are grown & gone. I will sit & knit while listening to the songs of my birds. I will bake cookies for my grandbabies who will come visit after school. My home will be a haven of peace for my daughters & daughters-in-law while their kids play on the swing set in our back yard. We will drink tea & I will tell stories of their (or their husband's) childhoods. No one will stand on my pretty yellow couch.
But today I'm going to lay on the brown couch I hate & be miserable as the stomach problems that sent me to bed last night are rearing their ugly heads again.

When you say "stomach problems", what exactly do you mean? I mean, could you be (imagine Grace telling me to "bite my tongue" at this point).....pregnant? Hee hee. Just thought I'd give you some goofy humor to distract you from your intestines.
It could happen......
