I don't often wax poetic about cleaning products. But tonight I must.
On Thursday I picked up two bottles of Clorox's new Green Works products. While not a giant granola girl, I would like to do a little to help out the environment...and this seemed like a good place to start.
I just scrubbed our master bathroom with their bathroom cleaner & toilet cleaner. Normally I hate doing the bathroom just before bed because I don't want to smell chemicals all night. I also inevitably end up scrubbing the bathroom with Bitsy sleeping in her crib in my room...not something I'm real thrilled about. The exhaust fan stays on, but that only helps so much.
Tonight I didn't even turn on the fan. No harsh fumes (I sound like a commercial). None. And I am rather sensitive to cleanser fumes. Not only that, but the stuff really cleaned. We have horribly hard water & it stains our toilets very quickly. Those stains are a pain to get out. Not tonight. They washed right off.
Then I went to the other bathroom & cleaned with my regular stuff. The hard water stain is still there & the fumes are horrible.
Now I can't wait to use up all my extra bottles of cleaners so I can restock with Green Works all around! Now if only they made Swiffer Wet Jet cleanser....

Have you tried bicarb soda to clean with? I put it in one of those flour sprinklers and use it like that with a sponge.
I've been looking at this..Thanks for writing about It..I'm gonna go pick it up now for sure..
These are definitely good products. I wish they'd make a dishwasher soap, dish soap, laundry soap, and fabric softner! I also use baking soda and vinegar ALOT, mostly actually! Fortunately the big chain Meijer (my heroes) has a line of products under their store name that are natural and they have laundry soap and dish soap, but not dishwasher soap. They smell good being scented with actual oils and such and not fake perfumes! I will never go back to using all those harsh things!
I enjoy Method brand, at my Target, but am the biggest fan of using Baking soda (same as Bicarb for those of us on this side of the pond ;) )with vinegar, or lemon juice.
I'm so excited to hear about the Clorox products though, as I've been wondering...I hate the thought of exposing us to anymore junk than we have to.
Awesome! Good to know! Be sure to recycle the bottle when you're done ;)
Thanks! I hate this job for the exact same reason.
I will have to check them out!
