Bitsy got the most adorable pink snow suit & a Tweety Bird bib (Nan must have read my mind on the snow suit. I was planning on getting one next week). Nan sent me a big orange tote (that I adore) complete with Lancome make up and a make up bag. Husband got a hat and the boys got a Stomp Rocket, cell phone from Eliza & an ABC's apple from Eliza. Eliza also sent BabyGirl a Strawberry Shortcake doll in a hat box. Can I just say I have very happy children?
Since it was cold outside today, Husband put the Stomp Rocket together in the house & taught the boys to shoot it at each other! Uncle Little BIL came over to play and they all had a fabulous time shooting each other with foam rockets. I really don't know who enjoyed it more, the big boys, or the little ones.
Little BIL wanted to pick BabyGirl up from school, so I called to let them know he was coming after her. He took her to the gas station & let her pick out treats for her & the boys. She came home with three M&M cookie ice cream sandwiches. They're going to be so spoiled when he goes home...but I'm so glad he's spending so much time with them.
Oh, and now's when I extol the virtues of XM satelite radio. I didn't renew my subscription last year, so today Little BIL called up XM to have his radio turned back on for the month he's home. He explained why the name on the account was changing (yet again) and when the girl heard he was serving overseas in the military, she gave him his one month subscription free! He was so touched by that. Thank you XM Radio!!
A few weeks ago Husband said he was thinking about getting new wedding rings for our 10th anniversary. I haven't been able to wear mine since very early on in my pregnancy & his has been too small for about a year. Ang got her hubby a new carbide ring for his birthday (I think), and I asked her how he liked it. She said he loved it and it could really take a beating.
We went on the hunt and found this ring at Tungsten World. We ordered Husband's ring about 3 weeks ago, but it was too big, so we had to exchange it. When his new one came in, I ordered mine & got it today. I'm really happy about them. They're supposed to be nearly indestructible.
I had the option of having my original rings sized, but decided I'd rather get a new one. I don't want to size the first one only to have to have it resized if my weight changes yet again. And I really like having a ring that matches Husband's.
Bitsy has a full blown runny nose. With all the bad press about infant cold medicine, I don't want to give her anything for it...so she's just snotty & ill. I'm pretty sure I'm catching it too as my throat feels a bit scratchy.
And Emily, I promise to get to that meme very soon. I haven't forgotten.

If we were 'the marrying kind', we had always thought we would get tungsten a) because it looks neat, and b) it's a component for x-ray tubes. Very appropriate.
