We are under wind advisories today. And it's 94 degrees outside. Perfect day to do the wash...if I can get it to stay on the line. The picture is how it looks about 90% of the time. The wind hasn't died down long enough for the clothes to hang down. It sounds like a roaring fire when the wind picks up too fast.
As I was waiting on that picture to load, I went out with the next load of sheets to hang on the line. The first load was already dry (in the time it took the second load to wash). I was clipping the next set of sheets to the line when a huge gust of wind hit, ripped one pillow case off the line & flew it over the house, tossed my laundry basket across the yard, and stretched out the clothes line so far that all my sheet would have been resting on the ground if I hadn't been right there. Husband rescued the escaped pillow case & tied my clothes line back up for me. In about 10 minutes, the second load should be dry.

Amazing!! I love the feel of weather like that!! And fresh washing straight off the line is great! I like the photo. Here it is grey and mild and dull. And I'm having to tumble dry !! S
whoohooo cheaper than runnin' the dryer..lol..ok...well it makes for something exciting to watch besides the washer going round and round. Anyone gettind dizzy yet?
love the pic...and love the way clothes off the line smell.
Wishing I had a line in my yard :( maybe when I get a new house :)
Very cool photo. I'm almost willing to bet a laundry line is gainst association bylaws in our neighborhood. Snobs. Oh, and it sounds like the little rules will actually start getting enforced around here soon. I do think we'll move a little further out next time around. Glad hubby was there to help you out!
