Better Day....please, let this be a better day

As if yesterday didn't suck enough to begin with, lets add a 30+ minute discussion of death with my kids at the dinner table & vomiting to the list. What the heck?! Death isn't an easy topic to deal with when you're on top of your game, but when you're scraping the bottom of the emotional & intellectual barrel to begin with, it's nearly impossible. They understand heaven (to an extent) and they know that their loved ones are there with Jesus, but just how they got there & what they're doing & why they died is still a little murky. Add to that an uncontrollable urge to argue about EVERYTHING and you have really lousy dinner conversation.

Then I got sick. Thank goodness everyone was already in bed, so I didn't have to worry about what havoc they were wreaking while I was worshiping at the porcelain alter....but it was not fun....not at all.

Today I am praying for peace & tranquility. I need peace & tranquility. No (or at least a minimum) of fighting & screaming. Unheard of cooperation from my children. A good attitude for Husband and myself. Enough energy to make it through the day (or at least until 5:30 when Husband gets home from work). And a good time had by all.

I did dig out some of Bitsy's clothes yesterday & get them washed & dried. I can hang some up, and the rest will wait in the cradle for Art & QM's arrival (don't worry Art, there's still plenty more to dig out & get ready). This bag was the easiest to reach & easiest to empty. I have also remembered why I chose to call Bitsy 'Bitsy.' Look at that! How is it possible for something to be so very tiny?
