STM update, Muffins, Cirque du Soleil, and Cafe Mom

I'm so sorry I didn't post this earlier today...brain lapse. QM called this afternoon. She had just gotten a call from her neighbor who had just spoken to STM's mom. They had to take STM to the hospital in St. Louis because her blood pressure was very high. She is retaining a lot of fluid (Her mom said her arms looked like Popeye's). The doctor said she has preeclampsia (pregnancy induced hypertension). Tomorrow she will be 35 weeks along & they are considering delivering her baby. 35 weeks isn't ideal, but it's better than say 28 weeks (right, Grace?). HT was born at 35 weeks and did fine...home in 3 days.

STM is having a C-Section, but it wasn't scheduled until the 21st of this month. I'm not positive, but I do believe the only thing they can do to treat preeclampsia is deliver the baby. She also has pregnancy induced Carpal Tunnel! This poor girl can't get a break!

I'll try to let you know more as I hear...

QM is feeling much better....but Daddy is sick now. And Art's niece is also feeling better, but her mom & older brother are down with what ever she had (probably the same thing as QM & Daddy).

And while I'm at it, I should mention that I can hardly walk at this point. Things are getting seriously painful. My ligaments are stretching & causing joint pain mainly in my pelvis, but also in my hips, ribs, & shoulders...strange, I know. The hip and shoulder pain is mainly at night, but can make sleeping difficult. I keep watching that ticker and thinking, "Enjoy it, girl. It's almost over." And Bitsy is trying to push her way out through my abdomen...not always pleasant. But often entertaining.

Husband and I were watching House Saturday night and I had to make him come look at my stomach. It looked like something from Cirque du Soleil. Freaky!!! Arms, legs, feet, hands...who know what else! Maybe we should sell tickets.

Tomorrow is BabyGirl's birthday at school (all the summer birthdays are celebrated the last 2 weeks of school). She wanted to take blueberry muffins for snack. OK by me...but to get the tops of the muffins done, the paper turned very dark. I am not happy about that, but don't have much choice. They aren't burnt, they just aren't pretty. Fiddle sticks!

One last thing: There's a new button in my side bar under Fun Stuff for a Moms' group I just joined. Princess invited me & I couldn't resist (how could I? She put up some picture of my fabulously fat nephew...I adore fat babies...especially that one). If you're interested, just click on the button & it will take you to my profile. I think you can sign up from there.

is it time to get the walker?

get out the walker and quit prolonging the agony girl. Take it easy. Enjoy these last few days before she comes.

I love Cirque du Soleil...Farm Fairy turned me on to them when I got Married.
