For My Mother

Oh, Children, go where I send thee.
How shall I send thee?
I'm gonna's send thee 10 by 10,
10 for the 10 who couldn't get in.
9 for the 9, oh so fine.
8 for the 8 who stood at the gate.
7 for the 7 on their way to heaven.
6 for the 6 who couldn't get fixed.
5 for Gospel Preachers.
4 for the 4 who stood at the door.
3 for the Hebrew children.
2 for Paul & Silas.
1 for the little bitty Baby,
Was born, born, born in Bethlehem.

Now I must add that BabyGirl brought her Stanford Achievement test report home today. My daughter (in January) was reading at a 1.1 grade level (that's first grade + if I'm reading this right). Her other scores ranged from K.8 (listening) to 1.2 (sentence reading). Her Complete Battery was 1.0. My girl is smart...but then we always knew that.

Okay that song above... it's missing a piece, or at least as I learned it, it is missing a piece at the end.

1 for the little bitty Baby,
wrapped in swaddling clothing,
lying in a manger....
Born, born, oh, born in Bethlehem.

And very good job BabyGirl. Astute just like her mama.
