I am sad...

*** Just because I'm sad doesn't mean you have to be. If you'd rather skip this and scroll down to the much lighter post beneath, I promise I will not be offended.***

I just found the following comment on DYM's post (at Parenting Posts)about deciding to have more kids:

You people are disgusting and uneducated. "every child is a miracle from above god will let you know when your done'' Babies do not come from God, if you passed 6th grade Science you'd know they come from things happening in the body. This isn't the 1930's anymore. I hope you all rot.—Candie Saturday, March 3, 12:54 AM EST

I cannot explain how sad that made me. It breaks my heart. At first I was angry. I am neither uneducated nor did I fail 6th grade Science. And what kind of person "hopes we all rot?" Then it hit me: How sad to live a life without God. How truly depressing it must be to have no true Joy (I'm not talking fleeting happiness, I'm talking about the everlasting Joy of the Lord). How horrible to not know that the life growing inside you is truly a miracle and a gift from above; to believe it's all a fluke, a coincidence in nature. And not only to disagree with these statements, but to be so angered over them.

Now my heart is breaking for Candie. I pray she is surrounded by a cloud of witnesses who can show her (not just tell her) of the love of God.

Well it seems to me she is the one that lacks education. First off whom might she be? The nueter police? Second just when so many are not having kids (like me) those of us who do not (at least me)want nothing more than you to have the kids we do not. Third just what planet does she live on? and she survives with out the faith of GOD? while the rest of us who counts on our faith and Him are thriving. And who gets that angry about anothers life? Poor thing....we must pray that her hateful heart breaks and is replaced by love and understanding and just a bit of peace. And remember I love you and all these wonderful babies you are having. Sometime those with the loudest voice get the biggest lessons..much love, your farm fairy

Yep, I also think she lacks education, she must have missed some chapters, especially the one about "respect for others"...
I understand your hurt, but she is the one with too little spirit.
Anyway, speaking about the striking beauty with which the Lord sends us little signs of Joy sometimes, I posted a picture on my blog that should speak to you - at least, I think so.
I was strikken by the effect of the sun on it - or was it the Divine?

Anyway, I usually don't talk much about my Faith, it's more something I live with rather than talk about.
I really do agree with you on "what kind of person 'hopes we all rot'?"
A lost one, I think...

You never know who these people are who write in or what their background, age, or life circumstances are. But one thing for sure, she is definitely needful. I'm with you on praying for her.
