Love is in the Air...

Happy Valentine's Day, My Dears!

Today is the first snow day of the school year for us. And really, there isn't much snow involved. There may be an inch of snow, but beneath that is a sheet of ice. It's a fairly thin sheet, but it's there none the less. It afforded me about 20 minutes of extra bed time...not really sleep, because the little alarm clocks that live here still went off at their normal time, but after doling out sippy cups and putting in The Three Musketeers, this mommy crawled back in bed.

Last night was a bad night. A meltdown on par with Chernobyl. The kind that only happens when all 3 kids have reached critical levels of wildness and mom is seriously, massively, hormonal. It was not pretty. A long talk before story time and a few promises on both sides, kisses, hugs, and today (so far) seems better. Let's pray it stays this way.

Bitsy has been very wiggly lately. The flutters (I actually love the technical term for them: Quickening) are getting stronger daily. I can now feel them with my hand on the outside. But of course, every time I tell Husband or BabyGirl to come and feel, she stops. So, as of yet, they're like our little mother-daughter secret.

If you have a moment today, please go visit Aunt Silver Belle. She wrote something for me. I think you might like it too.

Until later, I hope you have a very happy Valentine's Day (or not, depending on where you stand on the whole issue) and know that love is being sent your way from a small farm in the country.

Oh, and by the way, thank you so much for the love and support you showed to Second Time Mommy yesterday. She really needed that & still needs your prayers. I knew I could count my girls to lift her up!

I loved what Aunt Silver Belle wrote. I felt like I was reading another long, lost volume of "Little House"!!

Be sure to enjoy this winter weather, I know how much you love it... ha!!

I adore what Aunt Silver Belle wrote, I love the way it is told, I almost feel as sitting on her knees as a child myself....
Hope you have a happy Valentine.
As for me, Fiancé and I (not married yet ;-) ) are having a wonderful Not-Valentine Day as we always do since love is an everyday feast and not just once a year.
Still, I ordered him flowers and they still haven't arrived so I'm a wee bit crossed with whoever is supposed to bring them.
And we'll order pizza as on a true Non-commercial Valentine Day and watch a movie, snugged together on the couch for the weather here's not much fun either.
Wind, wind and more wind, my rabbits and I were almost blown away while playing in the garden this afternoon...

Anyway, it's always a pleasure to come and read you, seems I'm starting to become seriously bloggaholic ;-)

I cried as I read Auntie Belle's story. Felt like I was sitting on the floor in front of a fire place listening to her tell her stories. I love that feeling. (I miss my dad's mum's stories) I have one gram left and even though she's getting to the point she tells me 3 or 4 times a day I pretend that it's the first. Never know something new may come out of the story.
I'm sorry of your melt down girl. Sounds like we both had killer days yesterday. Happy Valentines to you and yours
