Q: What is your favorite color(s)? This is the kids' favorite argument. I really like a lot of colors. I love blues, purples, greens, pinks, reds...jewel tones, bright colors.
Q: Your was your favorite meal your mom fixed? I should clarify that my mother can cook. Princess, Bubba, and I were VERY picky eaters and I think after a while she gave up on us. My favorite meal as a kid was very informal. Mama would make bread sticks and we'd have fruit and cheese and dipping "sauces" (melted cheese, jam, spaghetti sauce) for the bread. I loved it.
Q: What is your favorite meal you cook now? I'm big on comfort food at the moment. Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and french cut green beans. Chicken and noodles (although not as good as Grandma M&M's). Potato soup. I make a mean French Toast.
Q: What is the theme running through your home? Fisher Price Little People. Toys. Books. Piles. Most of what we own, we've inherited or Husband had before I came along. Give my choices, we'd have a mid century modern thing...think Todd Oldham.
Q: What colors are running through your home? The boys' room is a soft green that #1 Son picked out. It's the same color I had picked for my kitchen, but never got around to it. BabyGirl's room is BRIGHT PINK...think dark bubble gum. It's fabulous. The rest of the house hasn't been touched. We built & moved in almost 4 years ago, and still haven't painted. But I do keep paint chips taped to the walls. But since nothing matches, there is no color theme.
Q: Your best high school memory? Marching Band, Drama (TAG), Parking Lot Parties behind my boyfriend's house, Latin (I hated the class & the teacher, but that's where Art and I became friends).
Q: How did you meet your significant other? I started going to church where his family attended. His little brother said, "FarmBoy, you have to come to church to meet this girl!" He finally came (just to get his little bro off his back), and although it took a few months, the rest is history...or ourstory.
Q: Your best memory as an adult? Finding out I was pregnant with BabyGirl. We had been trying for 2 and a half years and had given up hope. That was the most amazing moment. And yesterday finding out that the new baby is a girl makes me feel like our little family is complete. It seems to fill everything in for me...I'm not sure why, but it does.
Q: What are some of your favorite things to do? I like to sew, read, watch movies, take walks (slow ones), dig through "country dumps" for bottles, sit on the dock and watch my ducks, create things...oh, and blog.
Q: What do you feel is your strongest trait? This is a tough one. I'd say my loyalty. I do not like to hear people I love spoken ill of. I tend to put people on a pedestal, so it may not be a good thing all the time. I try to see the humor in most situations...it's not easy, but I try.
Q: What would your friends say is your strongest trait? I don't know, you'd have to ask them.
Q: What do you feel is your worst trait? I never know when to shut up.
Q: What would your friends say is your worst trait? That I never know when to shut up.
Q: What do you think is your best physical feature? I've always liked my hair. I've done strange things to it and it's very forgiving.
Q: What is the physical feature you want to change the most? I'd like to be a little less scrawny. Especially in the arms and legs...
There you go, Ang. I knew I'd get around to it sometime. It just took a while.
