It's Not Christmas Until Someone Throws Up

B.B. didn't want to go to sleep last night. He hasn't gone to bed willingly in 3 nights. This is unusual for him. Most nights I tuck him in at 7:30 and don't see him until 5:30 am when he looses a toy in his bed. Last night he finally fell asleep in front of Mythbusters (which spell check has suggested might really be 'Mobsters' or 'Methodists') at 9:30. This only after about 30 minutes of wining and crying.

At 2:30 he came and crawled into bed with Husband and me. Husband vacated the bed in favor of the couch at about 4:30. B.B. woke up again just before six. He tossed and turned and coughed a little. Then #1 Son came in and I was trying to get him to go back to bed when B.B. choked and vomited on the bed. I yelled for Husband and snatched B.B. off to the bathroom.

He's thrown up twice since then, each proceeded by a cough, so I'm hoping it's a choking reflex and not a stomach bug. I've also given up on trying to get him to the bathroom, and have instead been following him with a little trash can. He's not happy about it, but he's getting the idea...garbage can, not floor.

The last go around I was trying to bend him over the trash and keep him from bolting as he was retching, while Baby Girl and #1 Son demanded crackers and milk from me immediately. I did not handle this well. Not even a little bit well. Husband had gone back to bed, but wisely came to my rescue with cups and crackers.

I'm not feeling too peachy this morning. Sipping sparkling peach flavored water, eating Whole Wheat Ritz, hoping this is Baby related and not B.B. related. Poor thing keeps telling me the baby in his belly is hurting him.

***As of 10 am B.B. has kept down a banana and about 4 oz. of milk for the past 20 minutes. I feel much less icky, and I think most of his problems revolve around sinus drainage. The band-aid he insisted on putting on his belly must be helping.

And I had to go back and add a few people to my prayer from yesterday. Please don't think I forgot about you. That's what I get for writing with all 3 kids under foot. If I left anyone else out, I sincerely apologize.

Farmwife,
I truely hope that you are feeling better and that B.B. is on the mend too. No fun being sick period. Much love and prayers to you and your family.

Ugh. Computer guy was having tummy issues here yesterday. Great-Gramma hypothesized that he drinks too much coffee and not enough other stuff. We tried not to crack up at her suggestion.

Praying that your tummy troubles are not virus-related!

Thanks for adding me. That was very sweet. I'm thankful Zannli reconnected us, too.
