I have Survived!

Yes, Zann, I have survived! Great job on the song by the way! You made me laugh...but then you usually do.

Baby Girl has put in a full week and a half in Kindergarten and she's lived to tell the tale...or more truthfully say, "I dunno," and, "Don't 'member." She's brought home lots of papers including one where she wrote her 'y's perfectly (she's always had a bit of trouble with that). The boys and I miss her, but we seem to make it through each day just fine.

In more news... Husband will be giving up second shift as of tonight! He called me Tuesday to tell me C**** (his place of work) had cut second shift to 7 hours a night. The new hours would begin Wednesday (talk about short notice). None too happy about the hour cut (not to mention the loss of pay), Husband called personel Wednesday morning and found out he could pull shifts and go to days!!!!!!! Praise the Lord! On top of that, because of the lack of notice on pay cut, tonight they were told they'd be paid for 8 hours this week even though they only worked 7...and their vacation days would be clocked at 8 instead of 7. Husband can't go to days until the Tuesday after Labor day so he's taken all next week off on Vacation so we won't loose any pay at all!

This went from a moment of panic to an answered prayer. I've been praying for 5 years that Husband would get a day shift job when Baby Girl went to school. This wasn't how I thought it would happen, but God handled it just the same. I just had to quit worrying and turn it over to him.

Lilly is doing very well. She's pretty well nipped the potty training thing. We still have the rare (less than weekly) accident, but I can't complain...especially after the Great Danes!

By the way, Happy Early Birthday to my darling friend Art! She'll be 30 on the First of September. Pop over and wish her well!

Hurray for Husband going to days! Mom gave me the heads up on the cutback.

Now, we just need to get you on regular Internet service. :)
