Unexpected Surprise

Look what I found in the chicken pen tonight!!!!
I was closing up the kids' windows at bed time and thought, "What is that piglet doing with Wanda?" (We have 2 pigs with development problems in the chicken pen.) Suddenly she turned and I realized it wasn't a piglet at all. It's a BABY! And it's adorable! She let me get close enough to take the pictures, but I didn't check the gender. I'll leave that to Husband tomorrow. I just couldn't wait until then to show our new baby to you!

I am so very jealous. I have always wanted a goat of my own.

When we were growing up on the farm we had goats. I had a black one with white speckled ears and black horns. Her name was Pepper. My bro had a brown, white and black one, no horns named Daisey. They would follow us around the yard like dogs. At night when we would pen them up they would cry like a baby. I also remember they don't have front top teeth but they have very very sharp back teeth. Ouch! Your new baby is precious.

can I sign up for some cheese? it's one of my favorites---goat cheese medallions covered in parsley, basil and spices; sauteed a tiny bit, and then added to the top of a spring salad with homemade balsamic vinagrette (sp?)
