The Prodigal Daughter Has Returned

We survived. Every last one of us. Baby Girl made it home safe and sound just before her dad left for work this morning. Apparently last night she had to lay down the law a bit at the sleep over. The bigger girls were talking (as girls will do when up late) and Baby Girl leaned down and said, "Too much noise, girls." Musn't disturb her beauty sleep! She didn't even want to talk to me on the phone this morning when Unkie Di called to see how I was holding up. Guess she's growing up!

Uncle Gick took two piglets home with him when he picked up Baby Girl yesterday. They are the first we've had leave. Can't say I miss them at all! On the contrary, I'm ready for them all to go. Yesterday I opened up the south windows to enjoy that beautiful weather and after a few minutes the scent of hog began to fill the house. There is a reason they don't make air fresheners that smell like farm in the afternoon.

"All bubble blowing babies will be beaten senseless by every able bodied patron in the bar." Sorry, the kids are watching the Sponge Bob movie. Yuck! But they've quit trying to maim each other momentarily.

I watched Memoirs of a Geisha last night. Not to become a blog entirely about movies, but I really liked this one too. Even if the story doesn't interest you, the movie is visually stunning. I love movies that capture you not only with the plot, but also with the beauty of it. I'd read the book a few years ago and usually that's a death threat for a movie in my eyes. But this one translated well.

I've rented The Village, Envy, Finding Neverland, Hart's War, and Collateral to watch this week. I don't normally rent many movies, but once I got started picking them out I just couldn't stop. That and I got 7 movies for $6.27. Not bad. I'm on a movie kick and I may not be able to control myself. We even have a free weekend of Showtime. Someone may have to drag me out from in front of the TV bodily.

I have been working on some jewelry to wear with my Easter/Wedding out fit. You'll have to check
Nudge-Nudge out in a few days to see it. I still have a little tweaking to do, but that's what I love about creating my own stuff.

Ramblin and I loved The Village. I think it will be one you love, too.

And of course Finding Neverland was good. Sad, but good.

Needles was just glad that NO ONE ruined the ending of the Village. His movies are so much better when the ending is a surpise.

Rudy and I also loved The Village. When we watched Signs for the first time it got over at about 12:30 in the morning. This is LATE for parents to be up. I was working on the laundry as I reached down to open the dryer the buzzer when I off. I began to scream and nearly wet myself. That's when you know it's a GOOD show!

Enjoy!

BTW I was also subjected to the Sponge Bob movie. UGH!

I'm another to vote yes on The Villiage. It had a very nice plot twist as many of his movies do. Have you seen the Visa (I think) commercial that he's in? Very creative piece of advertising. Been wanting to see Memoirs but can't convince Jay that it'd be worth while. Will have to rent it on a paintball day.

Anyway - I will now be checking Nudge Nudge daily.

Glad Baby Girl made it through the night and that you survived as well. I love that she shushed everyone with such grown-up words. :)

How can you get so many movies for such a low price? Is it a club?

Here's another vote for the village. I think Ron Howard is a genius, and his daughter turns out to be extremely talented as well.

How old is Baby Girl? You've probably told us before but I couldn't remember.

Can't wait to see the jewelry!

Cate, Baby Girl will be 5 in June. And I rented older movies which are only $1 each plus they were having a special thing (rent 3 older movies get 3 free. I was psyched!

I can't wait to watch the Village now (even though someone spilled the beans about a year ago).
