For Cate and her Grandkids...and Neighbor!
This is for Andy, Eliza, Robbie and Alexa. Their grands have rescued a "community" turtle and I thought they'd like to see who came to visit the farm yesterday. I found him (not sure on the gender as I didn't pick it up) hanging out at the foot of my steps after Baby Girl got on the bus. I ran in the house, grabbed the camera, and took B.B. and #1 Son to see it. When we went back out Turtle had moved on. #1 Son has searched for him and asked about him ever since. I told him I think Turtle was just resting on his way to see his Grammy and Pa. He's pretty happy with this explanation. Now I think he was just on his way to visit with Cate and the kids!

My Dad has a little yellow convertible Karman Ghia and from time to time we take rides throughout the county in it. Whenever we see a turtle in the middle of the road, he rescues, carrying safely to the other side. It makes me tear up every time I see this act of kindness out of him.
I'm not even going to ask how you know how to tell the sex of a turtle. And I'm also not going to ask how it is done.
I think bluebell is a perfect name for the goat.
I think that turtle has a long trip in front of him if he's coming to Kentucky to visit his cousin!
That sure is a coincidence that you found him right after Hub found the one for the kids. I'd love to post a picture of Shelley to show you how similar they are but I can't find my camera! Haven't seen it since Easter, but it's here somewhere!
