I have 598 address labels in my kitchen cabinet.
I've never bought an address label in my life. I have 123 that came with my checks the last time I ordered them (2+ years ago). The rest were sent by The American Lung Association, my alma mater, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, The Nature Conservancy, and The Paralyzed Veterans of America.
Have I ever sent any of them a donation? No. Will I ever? Doubtful. So what I want to know is why do they keep sending them? If they took the money they spent printing and mailing address labels to me and saved it, they could use it to help patients or save endangered species or build a new dorm. Go figure.
In the mean time, I plan on wall papering our bathroom with fund raising address labels. Maybe I can get a few calendars from my Grandmother (who gets them by the truck load from folks looking to raise funds) and paper the kitchen!

You should see how excited we get in my house when we finish a page of one of those labels! We're currently working our way through the St. Jude's labels, but we have some Make-A-Wish Foundation labels we've yet to use.
When we moved into our house, I ordered a roll of labels, and I haven't used ANY of them, because we keep getting some from charitable organizations.
I've thought the same thing about how they could save money by not printing those things - glad to know I'm not the only one!
May we send ours to you? I can't think of a better use.
