But I'm on VACATION!!!!
I'm trying to make up for lost time this weekend in blogging more than necessary...but I can't help it. *** Today was a little too eventful for me. First off Mama, Baby Girl and I decided to get dressed up and go out to lunch. That left Pa/Daddy and Bubba in charge of the boys. Pa decided on a trip to McDonald's and the park. Due to #1 Son's allergic reaction to his sunscreen last week he's had cortisone cream on making him hyper-sensitive to the sun. Daddy couldn't find the sunscreen #1 Son can wear, so he picked up another baby brand. *** Four hours after applying it #1 Son began to scratch and break out. I put him in the tub and scrubbed him down. I put on more cortisone and gave him a dose of Benadryl. An hour later his face began to swell and I got very nervous. Daddy and I decided a trip to the ER was needed so we headed out. *** Long story short, we had the best ER doctor I've ever encountered at the local hospital (and we were frequent visitors when I was younger), he dosed my boy with Prednisolone, said it looked worse than it was, checked breathing, air ways, and oxygen levels thoroughly, and sent a much relieved mother and grandfather home with a little boy not much worse for the wear. Pa promised him a green sucker and we set out in search of them before heading home to finish the party. *** The ladies' lunch went very well. Princess showed up half way through and spent the rest of the day with us. Baby Girl even got a fancy hair bow during our outing. And when we got home, Art and her brood came over. *** Daddy grilled out and the kids played in the pool. Grown-ups (Mama, Daddy, Bubba, Princess, Axl, Art and me) sat around and talked until the whole allergic reaction incident. Daddy and I didn't get home until quarter till 9 and Art and the kids were still here. So we sat on the porch and talked (and sang show tunes) until I totally lost my voice. Then we came in and Art did a hysterical Michael Jackson impression which left me laying fetal on Mama's kitchen floor laughing soundlessly. *** She just packed her brood home and mine have all crashed out for the night. I'm hoping tomorrow will be much less eventful...even with the Reunion. I may need a vacation to recover from my vacation. *** I'd better go to bed. I have to wake #1 Son up at 4 am to give him another dose of Prednisolone. That should be fun.
