Books to learn by

When I was little, my mother read to me incessantly. Until recently I'd forgotten some of the best books QM read to me. Arch books are how I learned about Josiah, Deborah, Jonathan & David, The Pearl of Great Price, and many many more stories from the Bible. Recently I wondered how my children didn't know many of the stories I was familiar with at their age. We read their story Bible regularly, but many of these stories were over looked.

A week or so ago, Inkling mentioned reading these same books to her little guy. I called QM and asked if I could bring mine home after we visited. We now have 60 Arch books to read together. So far we've read 2 a night & the kids are fascinated by them.
I'm feeling much better today. I think something I ate disagreed with me because my crumminess was short lived. BabyGirl on the other hand is ill. Fever, head ache, tired. I hope it doesn't get worse or spread to the other kids!

  6. my kids love those kinds of books, they love to hear stories about the people they were named after then they argue about whose person was cooler/more important!
